Glock Glock Glock. I get it lots of guys like 'em. I cordially DESPISE that company and anything it produces.

I say "cordially" because they may be a good or even great gun for a lot of shooters...they fit my hands for shit. The only pistol I've shot that is more awkward in my hands is any FN pistol. Glock feels like a broom handle Mauser.

As has been said: rent quite a few brands and calibers then make a decision. You may find that it's the less expensive option that fits better. Even if it isn't, one expensive weapon that you enjoy shooting is far less than buying one pistol then another until you find the right one.

Heh. The biggest gripe I hear about Glocks at matches is the grip. It's either great, or the work of evil reptilian overlords. It's amazing how different hands can be. Most who don't like the Glock grip will be quite happy with a Springfield XD/XDM or a S&W M&P.

Firearms aside, Glock has some pretty colorful history in development right now. Between Gaston Glock's near death experience to 'issues' on Team Glock, they could get their own section in the local gossip pages.

I have shot one and surprisingly it is not hard to control. If you have large hands you will defiantly want a pinky extension.

I prefer the M1911. Would prefer a national match, but $$$.
