Re: Introduction-David

Rangers, I apologize for not replying sooner. I swore in last Thursday with a 68W Option 40 contract. After I swore in I had some pretty bad anxiety. I didn’t sleep or eat until that Sunday. I think it might have been anxiety from leaving home, I’m not 100% sure. My mom’s friend’s brother, Dave Wein...

Re: Introduction-David

Roger Ranger Lunch. I know for a fact that I wouldn't have that contract reserved if it weren't for the Rangers on this website. I would like to thank all of the Rangers who have encouraged me and given me advice throughout the recruiting process. I still have have a long road ahead, at this point I...

Re: Introduction-David

Rangers, my recruiter was able to reserve a 68W OPTION 40 with a ship date in early September. I will be going to MEPS Wednesday and will be swearing in Thursday. I've already completed the physicals so all I will have to do is weigh in. I will post the exact ship date in my signature when I get bac...

Re: Introduction-David

Roger Ranger Jim, understood. I will be patient. I just started running again. I stopped running track because I was having symptoms of a stress fracture(localized pain in bottom inner part of a single leg) after running another week of track on top of the Achilles tendon pain. I thought I would be ...

Ranger Jim, I just called the recruiting office today. They said they've been checking every day for the 68W OPT 40 contract and nothing has come up yet. I'm just going to continue to wait and pt.

Re: Introduction-David

Ranger Jim, I called my recruiter Thursday asking to see if there were any new developments. He said he probably wouldn't be able to get me a 68W OPT 40 this fiscal year but he would call me if he saw it in the system. He basically said I could either wait until October 1st or do something else. I t...

Re: Introduction-David

SITREP: I went to MEPS Thursday and Friday. Thursday was pretty relaxed, I only took the personality test. It honestly felt more like a school field than processing into the military. Friday I took the physicals and all the tests and passed the airborne physical. I went to the Army liaison after tha...

Re: Introduction-David

SITREP: I took the ASVAB yesterday and scored a 95 with a 129 GT score. Today the recruiters were able to pull some strings and said they went all the way up to the Department of the Army. They said that if I go to MEPS I am guaranteed either 68W, 13F, 11X, or 15W which were the MOSs I said I would ...

Re: Introduction-David

SITREP: I felt as though the recruiters at the recruiting office I originally went to weren't being honest with me and were kind of pressuring to join without the contract so I called the two next closest recruiting offices. The first one told me that I was looking for a unicorn and that he couldn't...
