Re: The Workout Thread
I have been reading on this thread for awhile and thought I would post here also. Firstly glad to see some fellow wanna-be Rangers with like minds and goals. My recent ruck march was only four miles with 45 lbs (I will be reverting back to 35 lbs as told to do by Ranger Jim). Time was 11-12 minutes ...

Re: Intro naweir
PU = 35 Su = 45 2 Mile = 14:36 Pullups = 2 Total +/- 175 Still failing but it is due to my lack of discipline and training over the last two months. I recently began my training regiment again and have reincorporated my ruck marching also with 45lbs dry weight. I will attempt another PT test within ...

Re: Intro naweir
Rangers, Just a brief update. I am currently finishing my degree which I should have by the end of April. I am still signed up and healthy, ready to leave in August. I have been trying to just get better with my endurance and school studies. I usually check in once or twice a week to read up on post...

Re: Intro naweir
Rangers, I took my 1-1-1 for my recruitment office this past Tuesday. The SFC in charge of FSO only asked me to complete 20 pushups and situps, but on my one mile I have gotten my time down to 5:35. I am pretty happy with my improvement but still got a ton more work obviously. Just wanted to update ...

Re: Intro naweir
Roger RangerX. I am hoping to start using Ranger Silverback's post on push-ups as my upper body feels as though it has gotten worse instead of better. I admit however, I am not very good at putting together a routine. I am hoping it will increase my endurance. I will go back to just doing the test i...

Re: Intro naweir
20151124 Pt Test FAILED Push = 37 Sit = 47 2 Mile = 18:11 Pullups = 3 131 Total. I am not sure about the run time as I tried a new track and it got dark before I got finished. Also I am attempting to wear myself out before PT tests to try and simulate RASP. I understand it is part of the process. St...

Re: Intro naweir
Ranger Jim thank you for the encouragement.
The above post was for all Rangers with any input. I should have addressed you all as such.
Thank you.

http://www.benning.army.mil/infantry/rtb/content/PDF/Ranger%20School%20Prep%201%202.pdf I am going to try and implement this training guide into my lifestyle. I am not feeling great about my progress thus far and felt it was time to use something more structured. Also I am wondering about how one wo...

Re: Intro naweir
Ranger Jim,
The "test" I meant was the PT test. I wanted to give a deadline to hold myself accountable for. The year is incorrect.
I will attempt to have it completed by next Tuesday.

Re: Intro naweir
Rangers, Returned to MEPS on 20151119 and was given a 12B slot. I was promised to be receiving my Airborne contract, but they screwed it up. I was however able to get my 12B position which was important to me. From the FAQ and posts through here it is not unheard of, with a lot of hard work, to rece...

Re: Intro naweir
Ranger Jim and Ranger Grim666, Thank you both. I will begin looking at backup plans and see what I can come up with in the event I got back to MEPS and nothing happens. I emailed the recruiting command for 75th, and am attempting to locate an individual that may be able to help with 12B info outside...

Re: Intro naweir
More recent update: So my recruiter is consistently urging me to pick another MOS. I have researched the MOS listing provided by Ranger Jim (thoroughly this time) and know that I am correct in my want to go 12B and that there should not be a reason to my knowledge that I should not be allowed to obt...
