Re: 30 years ago today... Operation Urgent Fury
Am I the only Ranger in here that got a "war-boner" whilst reading O'Kelleys memories??? Nope. Man, I miss the Infantry. Then again, it was cold as shit and pissing rain last week and I looked out my office window and thought to myself, "You know what? I'm fine where I'm at." 8)

Tell the truth, always.
One of the things I always suspected and learned for a fact when I re-classed from Infantry to Counterintelligence: you are only vulnerable if you have something to hide. Any mistake freely admitted is a hell of a lot better than a lie.

Any good shirt companies?
The Fort Polk Field Office is looking to get some esprit de corps shirts made. They'll be Polos, since we want to be able to wear them on duty. I'm already checking into Infidels Inc. but we're shopping around. The SAIC here is the former Regimental CI guy in the late 90's so we'd rather give our mo...

Re: Combat jumps since 9/11
I just re-read the Echo 51st guy's post...His team "Opted NOT to jump in due to the high risk", I guess they were pussies! Who would ever opt out of a combat jump because of high risk? That has got to be a new one. Every single one is high risk. Going into Grenada we rigged inflig...

Re: Any possibility?
Sir, Just my .02, but I've seen plenty of junior CPT PLs, especially in BN. Then again, since I was a mortar, the mortar PL is supposed to be a senior PL slot. Most of my PLs in mortar PLTs had already done rifle platoon time as well as XO time. FYSA, I've seen this a lot with mortar PLs in the regu...

Re: 7 Jan 2013
Why didn't some one fix the PL? Because everyone spent the last ten years riding a HMMWV/MRAP following a GPS. They either never learned how or forgot to navigate. THIS. My son just came off active duty and is currently in the Louisiana Guard. Little asshole can't land nav his way out of a wet pape...

Re: I have looked but no answere "security clearence"
Couple of things; One, you can start by typing and communicating like a 31 yr old man and not like a 16 yr old boy if you want anybody to even read this drivel. Secondly, we are not "you guys", we are not your friends and we do not sit around just dying for some drone to ask questions bec...
