Re: SITREP - Cherry LT

Penn State Abington joined us in 2007. I went to Penn State Delco (now known as PSU Brandywine as of a year or two ago) for my freshman year. Then switched to Widener because it was the host school. I visited all the campuses in our battalion a few times since I was the CSM and BN CDR this past year...

SITREP - Cherry LT

Good afternoon all, Been a little while since I posted in the public forums. I managed to branch Infantry and was commissioned yesterday. I am now a new cherry 2nd LT. I just wanted to say a quick thank you to all the Rangers and Veterans here for sharing advice and insight. I began reading this for...

Airborne

I graduated from Airborne school yesterday morning. They rushed our class through since it was the last class of the year. Next one does not pick up until Jan 5. We didn't get our second weekend off. We jumped 5 times in 3 days and graduated on Tuesday instead of this Friday. I was disappointed that...

Well, Shadow, looks like you have found yourself a home. A couple comments (purely personal): -- Only one student was commissioned Infantry last year? -- I worked for GEN Tilelli when he was the ODCSOPS (G-3). I know he was very proud of his graduating from Penn Military. Of course he was Armor (co...

Cadet Shadow, you stated that your goal is to earn the coveted Ranger Tab. How many Ranger Challenges have you or your team competed in to date through the ROTC Ranger Challenge? Looks like a long and grueling day. You better bring home the next streamer for the guidon..... Ranger Scuba Wino, the u...

Welcome Cadet. Glad you found us. I do have one small question, your answer would be most appreciated and educational to me. I thought that PMC disbanded the Cadet Corp (ROTC) in 1972 when they changed the name to Widener. When did they re-instate the ROTC program? The reason i ask is because one o...

There is only one opportunity to make a favorable initial impression. Shadow, you have success -- a go at this station. I'm impressed with your comments. Please consider going to Airborne school while you are still a cadet. Recognize that you need to display leadership at summer camp and maintain y...

Introduction

Good evening Rangers and Veterans. I have been visiting this site for almost a year now and recently registered. It is about time I introduce myself. I am an MS2 ROTC Cadet at Widener University in Chester, PA, formerly the Pennsylvania Military College. I am a contracted cadet and have received a f...
