Re: Vietnam Helicopter Pilots
A couple Christmases ago, my father (a Vietnam helicopter pilot) and I decided to get into some scotch. After a couple hours, he told me some stories I had never heard. One particular one he told me about going into Laos to get a team of guys (unit I'm not sure of). After I got over the initial shoc...

Re: Big Green Egg
That pork shoulder came out ridiculously good. Their website that I posted the link to has a forum on there with endless recipes for all types of meat, fish, appetizers, desserts, etc. I give it two thumbs up and plan to start cooking on it almost exclusively.

Big Green Egg
LINK Anyone on here using one of these? It's a combo grill/smoker than you can cook almost anything on. It uses natural lump charcoal for fuel. I am currently smoking a pork butt for the first time on it, and I cooked some burgers the other day with it that came out amazing. I highly recommend it t...

My TF commander is the man. Unlike any other commander I've ever worked for. With any luck, I hope to work with him again in the future.

I've been taskorg'd underneath 7-101 for the last 2 deployments. Fear not, Varsity is still alive and strong. When I first got to Campbell back in 2002, 7-101 looked a lot different though.

Re: A sermon to all from the Pastor
I vaguely remember something happening but was not privy to the details. I thought all of it was water under the bridge at this point.

Re: A sermon to all from the Pastor
Speaking of the Pastor, why has he been MIA here? I haven't read any of his particular brand of bitterness in a long time. We need to have some kind of online reunion where the Pastor, EP, Rangerguru, Old Grunt, Bubba, Tenn-RGR, Bravo57, Sharky and a host of others I'm forgetting get back to imparti...

Re: Vietnam history that most people will never know!
There's a little sub-hamlet of my town that is about 500 people large and they lost 7 men in 1968. I think they all died in a span of 72 days. Life magazine did a story on them. Pretty incredible that an area so small could give up 7 sons for her country. And CharlieRanger1FFV, I'll echo your statem...

Re: SITREP /MEPS RENO.....
Coming from someone who briefly worked in the artillery world, if you want to be an 11X and are settling for 13B, you are going to be in for a rude awakening if you think you are going to be doing anything high speed. Only the 13Fs will ever get a slot at Ranger School. The only way you'll get Airbo...
