My Grandfather faught in world war II as a combat engineer, my father was a tanker. My Grandfather's brother was a pilot in the great war, and my mother, step father and uncle are all current active duty Air Force officers in Canada. I can trace my family history to the knights templar in the dark a...

BUD/S
I didn't go the BUD/S route because I know that I am not ready to do something that is all or nothing like that. I just Depped in, however all I got on contract was 11x, so its now my duty to make the best out of that. I wish I could have gotten airborne, but I mean one day right? Until them, I will...

Even if you find his answer "smart" you do not have the right to respond like that. That shows immaturity, and I would not serve with someone that reacts to small things as easily as you. Grow up. No, I am not in dep yet, but I have many years of service as a survival instructor and unarme...

I don't know my ship date yet, but I know that at last check in I was heading for BUD/S but that didn't pan out so I am once again on the way to RIP. I sign up on the 26 so I am hoping to swing a late august early september ship date, although that might be tough.

Ok listen up...
I have seen several posts on this site, and hundreds on the internet created by little sixteen, seventeen year old guys, wanting to be Army Rangers asking about "Will I make it if I do this", "how prepared do you need to be" and other totally stupid things like "will I get y...

In response to the: is it like in GI Jane, where you ring a bell? The answer as already stated is no. However to shed a little light... Back before the NSW (Naval Special Warfare) center moved the BUD/S complex across the strand at Coronado, "Mother" Moy was an instructor at the school. Af...

My little workout...
Alright I know this is going to sound retarded but I have decided not to go with the option forty. Instead I am signing my x to a Navy SEAL Challenge contract that will include HM (Hospital Corpsman) Class A school and BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training). However I know more than a few...

I figured I would introduce myself here, and then everyone could gain some insight into who I am and why I post what I post. I am a Ranger hopefull, currently finishing off obligations I hold in BC, Canada. I am an American born abroad, I hold citizenship, and I am proud to be American. My current P...

Nice weapon, the glock... Anywhoo your right, their is very little difference between being a PT God and being insane, and you my friend do not cross the line. I love it when I run some ass off, and when that burning feeling in my stomach, legs, throat and knees makes you feel like stopping, and the...

That was not supposed to be an insult, it was supposed to show you what the required fitness levels are. I am a dual citizen living in Canada, but once my time is up I want to head down and pursue the Ranger program. I know that my fitness is a start but thats about it. I personall do five sets of f...

JROTC_Cadet... First off, I love it when young people are interested in joining our nations combat units, with the intention of serving our nation. However after viewing your posts several things have come to mind, and don't worry, they aren't all bad. You need to read. Asking people works wonders a...

These boys are right, the fire in the gut they are talking about is what you need to pass. The mental edge is not knowing your physically fit, and better then the next guy, its knowing that no matter what the next guy can do, or what he says, you are the one that will make it. That no matter what an...

Deadmeat, if you are only popping off 35 pushups you are in deep trouble. I am not a Ranger, but I know the Canadians would barely allow you to pass boot camp with that level of upper body fitness. How are you with pullups? Your right when you said that the military PFT only does a look at pushups/s...
