Dropping In
I thought I would drop a line and check in. Graduation is in 4 weeks, it sucked coming off of con leave, but jumped back in it and my run time is better now than before I broke my foot. I got put on ice detail today and the sergeant had a heart, sent us to the rec center after chow. I'll drop anothe...

Pass
We got out first pass at the end of week five, a two hour pass if you shot sharpshooter or expert. Nothing was ever guaranteed, if you were a shithead then you didn't get a pass. I am back to Ft Sill tommorow, hopefully be out of there in 4 weeks and be off to Airborne. I will give an update as soon...

Scores
I ended up with my MOS because it was the only one offering an Opt 40, I was hoping to get intelligence but it was closed. Maybe I should have tried saying I wouldn't sign, but hell, I am happy with my job. Check into 13 Foxtrot, but not without an opt 40. You don't want Ft. Sill as your duty station.

blanket party
It seemed to me that those who got slapped around a bit were made better by it. It helps you get squared away quick as hell, and if the drill sergeant doesn't do it, then the platoon will. Some fucknut in our platoon called home afterwards though, his parents called their congressman, etc. Two days ...

Not important
As long as they are good enough to get you your opt 40, thats all you need. GT scores aren't a fucking dick measuring contest.

Not all lies
My recruiter was pretty straightforward, some of it goes to shit just happens. If its in your contract, you'll get it. If its not in there, you probably wont. All of the people in my class who wanted to volunteer for airborne got screwed over, the people with it in their contract are going. If you w...

Quality with Quantity
Make sure if you want to be a hard ass, do the fuckers right. No point in doing 500 if you didn't do 100 of them correct.

Injury Disqualifying?
I'm back on con leave for a broken foot right now. I got three weeks from graduating from OSUT and broke my damn foot. The doctor told me it wouldnt disqualify me, just change my slot, the Drill Sergeants told me I was just fucked. If anyone could give me a heads up it would be greatly appreciated. ...

I see what the difference is. The reason I chose ROTC to begin with was to try to get in military training. But AFROTC was a damn sight far from what I thought it would be. Army ROTC is the way to go, but alas, I just decided to go enlisted. All we did was march in circles, then go to eat pizza. I w...

Harsh, but effective. Ranger Saltbitch, Thanks for the help there and clearing that up. I will admit my head has been up my ass and I have done fucked up on here more than once. And You have always been there to smoke my ass for it. HOWEVER, it was always needed. Every Ranger on this board has helpe...

I apologize, I can offer no explanation for my posts recently. I offer none, and only offer my apologly. If you can forgive me, then I thank you, if not, then I understand. I know my grammar suffered on here. That was not my greatest mistake. I know i have offended some of you, and for that, I can n...

Research
Many good books can be found on the topic, merely by reading the book you can delve much deeper. Mike Durant recently release his account of th events. My suggestion is to delve into the UN action predecessing the Rangers and Delta Force. It was a drawn out conflict

desk general
actually I would find it quite nice to make it to a general, for I only need a few more credits to get my bachelors. It it my goal to become commissioned. I guess it is too hard not to poke fun at the person aimed at finding information and researching it before they dive it headfirst. Sure, I have ...

Postings in Quantity
I have been trying to read everything I could, I appreciate your insight. Due to my schedule at the moment, I have a hard time checking up day to day. So If I have more than one question, I try to post them in the appropriate forums. I work full time and attend school full time. So time to check int...
