If you actually have PTSD, do you want to be reminded of it with a metal and cloth merit badge? If approved, this medal will just give the Pentagon and politicians a warm fuzzy feeling that they recognized the injured soldiers, while at the same time make them feel less guilty of cutting VA benefits...
