Re: Re-introduction
With so many old friends kicking the bucket (Steadfast, Jim,Lefty and more) I just got a little nostalgic and I thought I’d see what was going on.

Re-introduction
I was one of the original members back hundreds of years ago. I haven’t been around in a while so I thought re-introducing myself would be appropriate. I was an original LRRP with the 173rd Abn Brigade in Vietnam in ‘66-‘67. I’ve mentored a couple of opt 40’s the last one is now a Tabbed E-5 at Regi...

Re: Hello again
I’ve been doing pretty well. I’ve spent the past couple of years in one of the more rewarding experiences of my life. At the request of a Ranger member here, I mentored his son from MEPS to present day when he just got back from school with his Tab. I got to pin his Blood Wings at Jump school! Like ...

Hello again
I’ve been a member of army ranger since the beginnings but I’ve been gone quite a while and figure an intro might be appropriate. I was a LRRP in Vietnam with the 173rd Airborne in 1966-1967 for those who don’t know me.

Re: RIP Brother STEADFAST
I loved Jake like he was my own fresh and blood......maybe more. I haven't been around here lately because I really didn'the know what the fuck to say. To say that I'll miss him would be totally inadequate. However, I'll always cherish the great memories of alll the fun times with him! We all know w...

Re: America Still in Love with Crap Beer
I saw a commercial on TV the other day. It was from Kays Jewelers and at the end they say "Each kiss begins with Kays!" I got to thinking that's bullshit. More kisses begin with Miller Lite.....blowjobs begin with Kays. I've never been a beer snob but I do like Guinness occasionally...espe...

Re: 8 November 1965
It should be noted that this battle in D Zone happened just 6 days before Colonel Moore hopped off that chopper in the Ia Drang Valley. The Viet Cong had been fighting their war since the late 1930s, and by 1965 they were VERY good at it. While the NVA were better trained militarily, they were mostl...

Re: SITREP - Yggr
Yggr, I can help you out with your two mile run time. I have some old Ranger friends who live in Columbus who own AK-47s. You can give them a call for motivation when you're running....it sure helped me in Viet Nam.

Long, long ago...in a land far away.........
Nov. 11, 1966.....Butch Brune and I were set up on left flank on a trail in War zone D. It occurred to me that it was Veterans Day. I leaned over and whispered in his ear, "It's Veterans Day, are we Veterans now?" He whispered back, "What the fucks wrong with you Cole? Why would you c...
