Re: SITREP - TEODOR

Rangers, Tomorrow is the big day, we graduate and then soon we'll all be off to our units. I'm projected for 2/75, I know it's gonna be a fantastic experience, and I'm ready to get there and work hard. The army ranger forum has been a nice tool, to see others experiences and the success stories of m...

Re: SITREP - TEODOR

Rangers, Just finished up with week 5, and we're still going strong. RASP has been an interesting experience so far, the cadre are professional and expect you to push yourself day in and out. In my opinion, RASP is as difficult as the effort you put into it. I push myself everyday to do as well in e...

Re: SITREP - TEODOR

Rangers, It's been a while since my last post, but in that time I've completed BAC and moved on to Pre-RASP. So far I've been here for 2 weeks, and there's about 315 of us right now. The cadre announced that there will be a PT test next Tuesday to determine who will class up. Every one of us will ta...

Re: SITREP - TEODOR

Ranger Disinfertention, So, unfortunately, none of us were slotted to leave for an Airborne class this Friday. However, there is a "95%" chance that we will leave next Friday. It's a little disheartening to not be able to go ahead and get the ball rolling, but it's only a week. I will have...

Re: SITREP - TEODOR

Rangers, We just finished the JFO portion of AIT this past week, wrapped it up with a test and 2 graded simulations. We had an incredible instructor named Mr. Nazario, who has previously served in Regiment. I loved this portion of AIT thanks to him, he really had a lot to teach us and definitely boo...

Re: SITREP - TEODOR

Ranger Jim and Ranger Disinfertention, Everything here at AIT is going pretty well, I only get my phone during the weekend so I try to check up on the forums when I'm able! We are currently going through degraded call for fire, I'm having no problems understanding the material or applying it, so I'm...

Re: SITREP - TEODOR

Good afternoon Rangers, I attended a Ranger brief given to us by a Ranger Liason, SFC McKuin, last week and did a diagnostic PT test with him this past Tuesday. I did 65 push-ups, 91 sit-ups and a 12:18 run, the push-ups were different for me because he made us do wide-arm push-ups for the test rath...

Re: SITREP - TEODOR

Ranger IntelToad, I don't have airborne in my contract, however, from talking to the guys who are in 13F AIT now, Option 40 contracts are plentiful. Apparently there is a big need in Ranger Regiment right now, there is a Liason who gives briefs weekly and conducts PT tests for those who are interest...

Re: SITREP - TEODOR

Rangers, I'll be graduating Basic Training tomorrow around noon, I didn't find it particularly challenging but I am glad to have it over with so I can move on. I finished as the Distinguished Honor Graduate, final APFT score was a 298 unfortunately (73 push-ups, 87 sit-ups, 11:05 2-mile). I have my ...

SITREP - TEODOR

Rangers, I'm sitting in the Columbia airport currently, waiting to fly to St. Louis, and then drive to 43rd AG at Fort Leonard Wood. Looking forward to getting things started and hopefully getting smoked many times along the way. I certainly intend to do as well as I can in basic and AIT with the ho...

Re: Intro - Teodor

Ranger Jim, I have already signed my enlistment contract for a 13F slot, which was apparently pretty hard to find. I am shipping out for basic training at Fort Leonard wood on 25 July. I'm pretty excited about moving forward with this! Also, I did a 5 mile assessment run yesterday morning in boots i...

Re: Intro - Teodor

Thanks for the reply Ranger Jim, I'm from a military family, so I've always had an appreciation for the military. I did 4 years of army ROTC while I was at The Citadel; I actually received a 2 year army scholarship but I left for a semester so I was unable to actually contract. I actually did a self...
