Re: Introduction - Seth
Will do, my apologies I read your introduction. You know the rules here and you do not abide by them. Do you think just because you are getting your Butter Bar for four years of drinking beer and reading books you don't count? Try addressing Ranger ZoneIV by the title he's earned. As a fresh LT you...

I see. Make a wise decision regarding whether or not to finish school and getting your commission. Only you know the right answer.

Re: Trade: You Wilson Combat 1911 8 rd mag, Me Two AR15/M4 M
Wilson Combat mags are kind of pricy as I bet you have found out. The offer of two AR mags isn't exactly sweetening the offer. Honestly, I have a few I got on sale and I can't imagine ever letting them go. If I can find or remember the name of the place I bought mine from I will let you know. They ...

Trade: You Wilson Combat 1911 8 rd mag, Me Two AR15/M4 Mags
Just like the title says, if you have any 8rd Wilson Combat mags, I'd be willing to swap two AR15 30rd mags. I have quite a few and would like to swap.

What state are you going to enlist into the Guard with? You have the option of picking up an MOS or just going straight ROTC. Depending on your state, you could be on jump status. Lots of options for you while you are in the Guard and in school. Just something to consider. Look around, there is plen...

It depends on what you want more, doesn't it? Is it worth the risk? Being an athlete (collegiate) especially a sprinter is only going to help your cause. But you're not going to be graded on the 100m Hurdles, are you? 2 miler, 5 miler... Endurance. If you don't get injured, it would probably make mo...

I wrote you a reply earlier in the week but for some reason it didn't go through. Good job on getting the PT test done. You know where your deficiencies are. If you're interested in a running program, check this out. http://www.halhigdon.com/10ktraining/10knovice.htm I've had good success with his p...

Re: Introduction - Sam
As far as running goes, it's best to train on the hills. The PT test you will take for the Army is standardized, and one of those standards is the degree of incline and decline you will encounter. I can't think of that value without looking it up, but we'll say it's pretty much flat for your PT test...

Muy Bien. Your time zone then. And I'm going to check. Also, test your pull ups as well. If you don't have a bar, go to your local school with one or monkey bars. Hang with your arms fully extended, all the way up, then all the way down. Add that to your test. So, in this order, PU, SU, 2 mile, Pull...

Re: Introduction - Sam
If he won't work for you, and there's a chance he won't, remain professional but find a new recruiter. He most likely doesn't have your best interest at heart, and I say that because he told you you can always "volunteer at OSUT". This is not a lie, but sometimes you won't be able to. From...

You can always renegotiate your contract up to the point you ship. Not everyone gets a chance to volunteer while in OSUT.
