Re: Save the date—2011 Ranger Rendezvous scheduled
When scheduling flights for this, keep in mind that American now has 2 flights a day that are direct to Columbus from Dallas/Fort Worth. Less options on travel times, but much less hassle than going through ATL. If you factor in the shuttle from Atlanta to Columbus ($60 round trip) there's not usual...

Re: Rangers Lead the Way Fund
I can tell you this organization does some great things. Not the least of which is donate money to each company to have a re-deployment party every time they get back from a trip. Obviously a big hit with the boys.

Wife bites off half her hubby's tongue during kiss Here's one that could leave you speechless. Police in Sheboygan, Wisc., say that a 57-year-old woman bit off her 79-year-old husband's tongue during a kiss. He called 911, but was hard to understand, and officers were dispatched. When officers arri...

Re: 35F + Option 40 = impossible, according to MEPS
Terrence, nobody here expects you to impress them. Your intentionally snide replies speak volumes. Here is a suggestion…….. Go to a SF forum, if there is one, and tell them of your intentions. Gain the personal assistance of a SF soldier to include PM’s and contact phone numbers at SF to get the in...

Rangers, I graduated RASP 1 on 5 November 2010 with class 09-10. I'm assigned to B Co. 1/75. I stumbled across this site just over a year ago and it is truly a valuable treasure to anyone that wants to make it into the Ranger Regiment. Thanks to all who have posted bits and pieces of their knowledg...

Re: 3/75 Ranger Memorial
There will be a order form for the purchase of a "paver" to support the new Memorial in the next issue of Patrolling. Obviously, this is 3/75 specific, but definitely a worthy effort. As the lady mentioned, there is more information and an order form available on the S-5 website found HERE

Re: Ranger Battalion Officers
Thanks that is very informative. I would really like to talk to a officer who served as a Ranger LT so I can pick his brain about what it takes. If you know of anyone and you could pass along my info that would be great. Have you ever read "A Message To Garcia"? If not, I strongly urge yo...

Hi all! Happy Thanksgiving! After a couple years of applying for GS jobs.. I'm now the lucky recipient of 2 tentative job offers! A GS-5 at APG, MD and one for a GS-9 at Fort Benning. I couldn't be more excited about it. It's an Editor position with the MCoE Magazine. Of course it's still tentative...

Re: Question about modern Generals.
I had a question and who better to answer than you guys. Why do modern generals generally refrain from fighting beside their soldiers? Does this bother you guys or do you like it that way? Congratulations. You've found a question that actually hasn't been asked on here before (to the best of my kno...

Re: The 75th Ranger Regiment and Family... Do they mix?
Good evening, Rangers. I've been thinking about this a lot, because I consider it a very important issue: family. I hear all the time that special operations soldiers have some of the highest divorce rates in the military because their jobs are so demanding on them and consume a lot of their time. ...
