Re: Introduction

Rangers, I feel a little foolish writing this after what I have written previously but I ended up signing a contract for 18x and am shipping out in 2 weeks. I just wanted to again thank all of you for all that you do on this website for young, aspiring service members, I know for a fact it helped me...

13f color vision

Rangers, I'm having trouble finding an answer to my question. Can I be a 13f if I failed the PIP test, but passed the Falant? From my understanding the Army treats passing the Falant as normal color vision but MEPS does not, meaning I could not enlist for 13f for my initial enlistment. Is this corre...

Re: Introduction

Thank you Ranger MadBSTRD, unfortunately I was unable to try and look up a job at MEPS. I had too much earwax in my ears and have to get an appointment with a specialist to get them cleaned out and then I can go back to MEPS. Fortunately I'm pretty sure everything else checked out good.

Re: Introduction

Thank you Ranger Jim, I'm 99% sure I want 13f option 40 but 1% still thinks about 11x and 68w. Hopefully I qualify for airborne training at MEPS.

Re: Introduction

Update: Rangers, I was at my recruiter's office looking up jobs and nothing I wanted was coming up so he called the ROC and I had the contract I wanted, 13f option 40 shipping out on 5/12/14. Unfortunately he didn't see my college enrollment letter stating I'm in school until the 23rd. My recruiter ...

Re: Introduction

Thank you Ranger Jim, you only solidify in my mind how much I would regret never serving in the military.

I visited the recruiter today and he gave me some paperwork to fill out and it sounds like I'll be going to MEPS for my physical in a couple of weeks.

Introduction

First off I want to say thank you to all who make this website possible, I have been reading for many months and the amount of information I have learned from everyone is incredible. I'm a 20 year old student from Marin County, California, right across the Golden Gate bridge from San Francisco. I am...
