Re: Introduction-John

First: Good report. Did it give you a better understanding of your screen name? When did you complete finals? Roger Rangertough, thank you and I did learn a lot, not only about where Molon Labe derives from, but also the way of life of a Spartan. I completed my finals on Thursday May 22nd (Tuesday ...

Re: Introduction-John

Xerxes said that if the Spartans laid down their weapons he would make them the rulers of Greece in his name. Leonidis (according to legend) said "Molon Labe" (come take them). New assignment (with Ranger Jim's approval). Research the "T" battle. Tell us the locations name, what...

Re: Introduction-John

Roger Ranger Steadfast, I have done a two mile run, I can not remember the time, but I did do a distance of 2.75 miles in about 25 minutes a few days ago. I just finished tho semester of college and plan to really up my PT scores. My pull-ups are now at 10, I haven't been on top of my PT like I shou...

Re: Eligibility Question

Ranger Jim, Sorry for not replying, I did not see you sent me a message, I have been really busy finishing up this semester in college and work. My PT test is at about 85 push ups (in 2 min), 95 sit ups (in 2 min), 10 chin ups, and 1 1/2 mile in 11:00. I am now out of school and I have set a goal to...

Re: Eligibility Question

Roger Ranger Jim, I went a week ago and was going to start signing some papers. I told the recruiter I didn't want to enlist right away and wanted to get my PT scores were I want them before I go and he didn't let me because he didn't want to "keep track of me". I am going to go to another...

Re: Eligibility Question

Roger Ranger Jim, thank you, there are many valuable people on here with invaluable information. Ranger Sleepy Doc, hopefully I will never have to hear the words, "about that clearance thing..." from anybody. I have great credit and a BS petty larceny, so that's the good news. Time to PT. ...

Re: Eligibility Question

I have just heard a lot of BS from a lot of different people, and I just wanted to be 100% sure before I got my hopes up. I'll just say what Cams said, "Holy shit, that's extremely helpful and kind of you PerryB. I can't thank you enough for that." I actually have really good credit, so I ...

Ranger Jim next time I fly to D.C. I will be sure to ask for a tour of Arlington Cemetery. I've been to 25+ states and for some reason I still think Washington D.C. is the best.

Re: Eligibility Question

PerryB, Very simply said, I do not want to join the Army if I am not a Ranger, obviously if I fail RASP I will stay and make the best out of it. That being said, will I know 100% if I get the clearance before I swear in? I know you said the one theft will not stop me (I have a 85 in 65 speeding tick...

Re: Introduction-John

Moderation’s for cowards. (Frogmen Ballad) Well than, if you go drinking, do drink moderate amount (responsibly) (& be a coward) because if you get a DUI - you will not get to Regiment. Ranger Steadfast, I found it was part of the Frogmen Ballad shortly after I responded, thank you for al...

Re: Eligibility Question

One theft charge will not disqualify you for a clearance. If you pass the ASVAB, Physical, and get Airborne qualified you should be good to go. As of the past couple of weeks I haven't seen many option 40 with 11X. I'd find a different recruiting station because the one you're dealing with is cluel...

Re: Introduction-John

Hello Rangers, (down to) sigline: "Moderation’s for cowards". What world experience do you have in the above quote. Does that mean if I drink with moderation I . . . Does it mean that if I allow 3 enemy to walk by without shooting I am guilty of your quote? I've had many enemy walk by me ...

Hello Rangers, (I have already looked for keywords in the search bar and read the stickies that have been posted, this is kind of my last resort to get my question answered.)
