Re: Deployed with questions
Oh no, I completely understand. Again, due to getting prepped for deployment it just completely slipped out of mind, although there should be no excuse for anything. I did get in contact with a recruiter first thing this morning and my question was confirmed.

Re: Deployed with questions
Come to think of it, Ranger Jim, I did not. I have had so much on my shoulders here lately that I completely forgot about.

Deployed with questions
I am not currently deployed, however, I will be deploying early May. I read in an AR that states soldiers may apply for 1 of 7 duties or assignments without regard to current assingment, Rangers being one. In that same reg, I read that OCONUS soldiers may submit their application no less than 5 mont...

Prep for RASP
I understand the best way to prepare for Ranger Selection is to run, do pushups, situps, pullups, and ruck. However I often get home kind of late. I was wondering if doing the Insanity or P90X programs would help as well. Thanks in advance.

Re: 75th Ranger Regiment Recruiting
Ranger Jim, I have already informed my team chief as well as my Platoon SGT that I would like to send in a packet for going Rangers sometime close to the end of deployment (leaving early May). Due to my latest pt score being a 218 (very embarrassing, before that was a 260) they both informed me that...

Re: Intro - John
Scratch that last post, I found that it takes 6-8 weeks after submitting to get orders.

Re: Intro - John
I'm going to continue on with my searching but in the meantime, I'm going to go ahead and ask them here. For the sake of my wife, what's the family life like, how often am I home (I understand I'd be gone a good bit on training missions when not deployed)? Understanding that the Rangers are consider...

Re: Intro - John
Yes I've actually been looking around on a whole buch of different sites, mainly through Google, for info on the Rangers: their lifestyle, RASP, etc. However, there are a few questions I have that I've stumbled upon but with no luck on an answer.

Re: Intro - John
Currently located at Ft. Huachuca, been here a year tomorrow. Why I want to become a Ranger: thought it would be an honor to be part of an elite brotherhood; would like to see more experiences that only a handful of soldiers see. PT score of 260 (not including todays test; so horrible I don't even w...

Intro - John
Hello Rangers, wives and all. Been in the army almost 2 years now with a wife and 3 kids. Current MOS is 25B (info tech specialist) and have been thinking about trying to become a Ranger myself.
