Re: Second Introduction- Logan
Ranger Jim, My father has been preparing me to enter RASP. He went to Ft. Gordon a couple weeks back and got a chance to speak with some of the cadre for the 25B AIT, and the cadre told him I would be able to volunteer for RASP most likely while I'm at AIT. I've started the 12 week RASP workout foun...

Re: Second Introduction- Logan
Ranger Xray, I tried to see if they had any Option 40 slots available at the time, but the Army isn't really giving slots to 25B's at the time in terms of contracts. The way my recruiter explained it, it was that so many 25B's and other support MOS' were using the Option 40 for just airborne, then q...

Re: Second Introduction- Logan
Hopefully I can get a slot to RASP. That's my #1 priority as of this moment besides improving my PT Scores.

I have self administered my PT Test and the results are not quite at 80% Ranger Standard but they will improve!

Second Introduction- Logan
Hello, this is my second introduction, since I have not posted or been very active on this site for a while. My name is Logan, and I am currently still in high school as a senior. I'm 18, and back in November I enlisted in the Army in the Delayed Entry Program. I enlisted as a 25B (Information Techn...

Re: Questions on RASP 2
Wow Ranger Goon 175, I was looking online at some website saying that around 200 Option 40 contracts are given each year and around 50 are given to signal MOS'. That gives me a lot of relief to know that the websites info was incorrect.

Re: Questions on RASP 2
Rangers, I am sorry if I have come off to be unappreciative of your advice. I take everyone's advice to heart here on this thread. I understand that I have a lot of learning to do, and that is why I wanted to become a member of this website, so I could learn about the Rangers. Ranger Driver, I have ...

Re: Questions on RASP 2
Ranger Goon175, I want to become an officer so I can take part in the responsibility of other Rangers if I get to the Regiment. I have looked into going to Community college for 2 years then enlisting as an E-4 with an Option-40 contract, and that it most likely what I will do. Sorry for the late re...

Re: Questions on RASP 2
Rangers, Thanks for all of the great advice you are giving me on the best ways to go about things to get into the Ranger Battalion. I will certainly look into enlisting as a E-4 with an Option 40 contract, and will get back to you if I have any questions about it that I cannot seem to find using the...

Re: Questions on RASP 2
Ranger Jim,
I plan to go to college before enlisting into the Army, so I could come in as a 2nd leautenant, and I would be forced to go to RASP 2

Questions on RASP 2
Rangers, I have a few questions about the RASP 2 process. I have used the search option and have read the stickies relating to this, but I just cannot find a straight answer. Upon graduation of RASP 2, would I get sent straight into the Regiment or would I have to wait to get my Ranger tab before I ...

Re: Intro- Logan
Ranger Jim, What made me want to become a Ranger is the Ranger's commitment to excellence in everything. Rangers are expected to perform at a higher level than their peers, and I wanted to become something larger than I am. I want to live the Ranger creed, as I have grown up around the Ranger lifest...
