Re: Point/ Reflex shooting
I'm a little confused. Maybe I'm just overly tired right now, how long have you been working on my suggestions to you now? Also, if you're using a palm strike to create distance, this is because you've not drawn your weapon yet, correct? If your weapon is already out, you should smash the targets c...

Re: Point/ Reflex shooting
Thanks Ranger cams and RangerX>>> Long story short; worked on what you told me Ranger cams with soe sim rounds at first (didn't have the ability to write up reports and get on the range everyday so it was a step in the direction a least on gaining tat good trigger control). That and really just prac...

Re: Point/ Reflex shooting
Doug590- That was pretty much my thoughts as far as the distance was concerned. I've been told I need to work on my Natural POA/POI with this type of drill. Honestly if I can create some space I would... but then again not everything is perfect. I might be breaking down and getting some of that fanc...

Re: Weapons cleaning questions for the gunsmiths on the boar
Anyone have use with a drill and a brillo pad/ brush to clean a shotgun barrel? Thinking it won't be a bad idea since it is a smooth bore? If the International Weapons Cleaning Research Foundation concluded a 50 year study that proved using a drill to clean your weapon was perfectly safe, I'd still...

Point/ Reflex shooting
Rangers- This past weekend I got the chance to get out and do some pistol qualifying practice and fundamental runs at the home range. The numbers i put up were decent and so was grouping but the thing that seems to kill me is when we were at about 7ft or 5yds and did point/reflex shoots  . The...

S&W Model 642 My wife recently gave her 642 to my son who just returned from Afghanistan. She then usurped my G23. I've shot the 642 quite a bit. It's a nice little gun. Problem solved. I'm taking back my Gen 3 G23 from the HH6. I'm going to buy her the S&W bodyguard .38 with lasergrips. It...

Re: Weapons cleaning questions for the gunsmiths on the boar
Sounds good thanks Ranger abnhawk, I'll give it a go around. I'd like to find something to get that star-chamber cleaned out good so I dont have to get into an hour of dental picking and get something a bit more easy to use.

Re: Weapons cleaning questions for the gunsmiths on the boar
Brake and parts cleaner/ PB Blaster does some great work; especially with a piston sys. that doesn't need any lube (use it on my M1A everytime I'm done shooting). That using a drill really makes me want to cringe; just thinking of all the possible micro burrs/ scratches you would put in on the lands...

Re: Prior Service Enlistments
Throwing out a good idea grenade here but maybe it's just the fact that I might be missing something. While sitting round this weekend reading the AF and Army times I've noticed a good bit of ads mentioning that the Rangers are recruiting... after a bit more pondering they have been putting this out...

Re: Prior Service Enlistments
Thought the same here Ranger goon175. Right now I'm taking it with a grain of salt... typical hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Who knows things can change... still haven't been able to throw up that information; once i get a scanner up and running I'll have to post it. thanks for the goo...
