Under 40. Member off and on of the Legion and VFW since 1990. Renewed back in 2004 in order to see if some of them might be of some help for recruiting, but essentially the biggest help was we got to use their facilities for free when we needed someplace to train recruiters or future soldiers.

In the DEP intro's, I noticed where a DEP had enlisted in the Reserves as a 31b (obviously not 11b) as a junior, with good reason. The obvious benefits are that while he's a senior in HS, he can get a little extra cash, he'll have Basic Combat Training completed, and he'll have gained some ...
