Re: Questions on RASP 2
Yeah... 25B is an enlisted MOS, so you wouldn't be doing that as an officer. Also, as an officer, what branch you get isn't really up to you. You could branch Armor, and guess what, Regiment doesn't take Armor officers. As far as rank goes, in my time in 1/75, every PL in our company was a CPT, with...

Re: When to start talking with a recruiter?
Yeah man, most recruiters actually have to focus on guys your age, so you definitely won't be laughed at. Give them a call and see if one can come out to the house and sit down with you and your parents. There is no point in you and your parents discussing the merits of something with out the whole ...

Re: Why I gave up my guns
Proper Prior Preperation Prevents Piss Poor Performance. He should have had it loaded already, so all he had to do was move the safety off. Pumping the shotgun multiple times? He's probably the same type of guy who would freak out and freeze up if he had to respond to a car accident and stop the ble...

Re: When to start talking with a recruiter?
The earliest you would be able to enlist into the DEP is 14 months from graduation, assuming you are 17 at that time, and your parents sign their consent.

Re: College funding with option 40
You can enlist with your desired MOS and option 40, and earn the promotion to E3 while in the DEP, and then go to college online while you are active duty. Should you make it to the 75th, you will be promoted to E4 upon graduation of Ranger School or 2 years time in service, whichever comes sooner. ...

UPDATE: First shirt is going live at 2100 EST tonight. The Art print is in line to be printed, but will not be available for a while. We went with a world renowned printer who could guarantee us the quality we are demanding, so I think it is worth the wait. The first shirt is up tonight though, and ...

Re: Thanksgiving with a side of RASP
I hope they got a pass! The cadre are pretty good about figuring out who goes outside the 50 mile radius. Glad they all got a good home cooked thanksgiving meal though, I would have killed for the same when I was stuck on benning.

Re: Navy SEALs Punished for OPSEC Violations
I don't think the cultural issues present in NSW has anything to do with the current administration. It comes down to good leaders setting a standard and enforcing it, from within that organization.

Yup, there are definately plenty of good dudes in NSW. But I think the organization as a whole has some problems that need to be adressed.

Re: Navy SEALs Punished for OPSEC Violations
It's kind of sad that a brand new Ranger private can keep his mouth shut better than a seasoned SOF NCO from DEVGRU.
