Re: Chairborne Ranger Introduction
(just couldn't see myself as a supply sgt., personnel sgt., etc.). It gets easier to deal with in some ways over time... not that there's anything wrong with those MOS's, they are necessary and vital to the Army... just not my cup of tea... Yeah the level of responsibility is pretty tough. Knowing ...

Re: ACU replacement after RS
True Officers are responsible for the cost of their uniforms but the CTA does not state that the issue is only for enlisted guys. Its worth a shot in my opinion. I've never filled out the paperwork for an Officer but 99% of them in REGT are already tabbed so I can't say yes it will work or no it won...

Re: ACU replacement after RS
Rumors during RS were that after you graduate, you take a copy of your certificate to your CIF and they will give you 4 new sets of ACUs and 1 pair of boots. My unit is telling me there is no DX, it is a gratuitous issue and you get 2 sets ACUs and 1 pair boots from AAFES Clothing Sales. My unit se...

Re: Combat Medic
Spoke with Chuck and he said for the guy to volunteer in AIT. IDK about that but from what Chuck said, that's his best shot right now since they aren't giving contracts out. REGT did put a hold on contracts for Medics. Sorry for the late response, ANCOC takes up alot of my time. Gotta get back to cl...

Re: 92y option 40... advice?
Sounds like you work out. Trust me the instructors here are like machines, they don't get tired. Our instructors are probably the most fittest guys in the Ranger Regiment. The furthest you need to run is 5 miles right now and you want to be able to do that in 40mins or less. Build your cardio vascul...

Re: 92y option 40... advice?
All I'm saying is make sure it's what YOU want. I got it you want a shot at coming to the Ranger Regiment. Keep in mind you will be that MOS for atleast 3yrs before you can reclass. That means you will have to do that job for 3yrs before you can even think about switching. Its not a bad gig to be ho...

Re: 92y option 40... advice?
20100316 is the day I ship for bct. I got a 92y option 40. Unit supply specialist. Why do they even get option 40? I only chose 92y because it had option 40… Which is my goal being in the army, to become a ranger. So what exactly does option 40 mean for me being in the 92y mos? Now I think that I s...
