Re: Big road block.
Rangers/Army/Army Recruiters, Update: I was contacted by the station commander regarding my enlistment. Since I can't get a moral waiver regarding my situation for normal enlistment, I was informed that the National Guard has a program called Active First. With this I was told that it is the same ex...

Re: Big road block.
During this time, he said, "Yo pack up the bowl." Not thinking of it as a big deal, I started to go ahead and do this. A police officer shined his light through the window and stares right at me holding the bowl and <1 gram. The reason for the call was that neighbors complained about a fi...

Re: Big road block.
So how long ago were you charged? The arrest occured in late December 2009 or early January 2010. I was put into the PTI program on March 21st, 2010, completed/dismissed on September 21st, 2010. I am going to be blunt. The act you stated in the initial post of this thread is the act of a 14-15 year...

Re: Big road block.
Goon answered it for you.... get your record expunged, dropped or sealed by your jurisdiction. Ranger Xray, I entered into a conditional discharge, which is a Pre-Trial Intervention program in New Jersey. It is for first time offenders to get a slap on the wrist. When the 6 months of probation was ...

Re: Big road block.
You want to know the fastest way in for you? Start the process for getting the charge pardoned by the governor of your state. Ranger Goon175, I know you say it as a longshot, but any shot to me, is a good one. This will be tried. Also, I was thinking of setting up an appointment with the town Judge...

Big road block.
Rangers, Recruiters, and current/retired Army personnel, On my path to enlisting into the Army with 11x Option 40, I need a moral waiver for a possession charge of marijuana. I don't use any drugs, nor have I ever failed any drug test. I was caught with it on me due to the fact that my friends use a...

Re: Recruitment Process: Am I on target? (Lengthy)
Thank you Ranger Jim,
Yes, I will negotiate exactly what I want.. Is there a way to insist for an 11b versus an 11c? Without a doubt I will take the c, but is there a way to push for the b?
Thanks.

Re: Recruitment Process: Am I on target? (Lengthy)
FreedomXforAll, thanks for the response. I read through the threads you posted but they don't seem to touch on the fact that a conditional discharge program is a form of pre-trial intervention, which means the court drops the charges..technically anyway. Aside from that, I have one season left with ...

Re: Introduction
Before I respond, understand that I have the utmost respect for you. This doesn't mean I am going to say, "Oh, it's ok that I die now, so I will be reckless." At this point in my life I wish to keep living my life as a normal civilian; The way I feel is that when I reach that age, I will d...

Re: Introduction
After re-reading my post, I'd like to state that I am 24 in a few months. I do not want to make it seem as though I am putting this off. If you are wondering, the age of 26/27 is where I will feel comfortable giving my life for our country.

For now, I'd like to keep all my information private. I am in my early 20's and have decided that when I turn 26 or 27 that I will be joining the military. Ever since I was younger I have wanted to join the military but never actually thought I would have the balls to go through with it. Well, it's ...
