Re: Infantryman vs Medic
I do not consider those the basics. I assumed that the Regiment would give medical training to its assualters superior to any other unit, and training to its medics superior to any other units medics, and from the looks of that article I wasn't wrong; but a Regimental medic is still more highly tra...

Re: Infantryman vs Medic
The training given to Ranger's is a little more than "just the basics" (unless you consider starting an I.V., inserting a nasal pharyngeal, applying an ashermans chest seal, doing a needle decompression, etc. the basics) and most E-4/E-5's are given the opportunity to get NREMT-I certific...

Re: Infantryman vs Medic
Rangers, I think I have this figured out. What it come down to is I actually do not want to BE a medic, I want to be an infantryman. The medical feild is something I find fascinating and the only real job I can see myself ever doing in the civilain sector is working an ER or an ambulance rig, but it...

Re: Random thought of the moment.
For a good month now, new equipment has been mysteriously appearing in our pitifully understocked supply room. Yesterday, I found the door to the room unlocked and our newest addition Cadet "hernandez" alone inside. Which was especially strange since newbies are never given keys to anythin...

Infantryman vs Medic
Rangers, I have the ball rolling on my second attempt at enlistment and an OP40 (bout damn time right? ). I've narrowed down my MOS of preference to Infantry or Medic. When it comes time to reserve a slot for one or the other I know I'll need to make my decision right there on the spot. Since ...

Re: 1000 pushup club
Well,
I gave my word, and I've been putting this off long enough. Between 3 hours of PT five days a week, riding a bike over 5 miles to actually get to PT and my personal workouts everyday, I should be in 10x the shape I was during my first attempt. I'll have the score on sunday.

They introduced this at PT a few days ago. been getting fantastic results by incorporating it into my personal workout. (+15 on max situps in one week.) Don't listen to this asshole when he says 10-15 taps. do it until you can't get up without rolling over onto your stomach. http://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: Random thought of the moment.
Shaved 3 minutes of my 2 mile inside of a month, and then make no improvements in the next two weeks despite increasing the workouts?
This normal, or am I doing something wrong?
