Our son actually called this evening. He started BAC today and passed his PT test. He said that they lost 100 people out of the 400 that started today. 85 failed the PT test and 15 quit. He sounded tired but pumped up. He was also told that he will go straight to Ft. Bragg after BAC graduation.

To us he is still a boy on his way to becoming a man, but at 25 years of age I am not so sure he would see it that way. :) I was actually surprised at how old some of his platoon at OSUT were. There were several in their late twenties and they even had one guy whose son finished OSUT several months ...

Well, it looks like my son made a liar of me. His girlfriend emailed me to let me know that she had talked to him and that the company they had put him in at BAC filled too quickly so he is on a one week hold at BAC. Glad I hadn't made plans to attend his graduation yet.
