Yep they are the new deal that and MSST's, it's all part of the DOG (Deployment Operations Group). The problem is the USCG has had a Law Enforcement (boarding operations etc.) bend for so long they have a problem wrapping their heads around the fact that the waters and ports in the middle east are t...

Jib- My wife is a SK2 with a Port Security Unit (small patrol boats with big guns, and a ground combat mission). I had worked with USCG on a JTF-6 mission in Corpus Christie, then my wife joined. I went to Cape May for the wife's graduation and have spent a ton of time training her unit's boaties an...

Uh, it is entirely possible that things have changed since I went to airborne school in 1992. But.... I was straight out of basic as were most Ranger studs and the only problem was that the runs were way too slow. Now in no way am I bragging or saying that I can run. I pass the APFT run with no pro...

I saw a video when we tried this shit in the 60's. The dog gets called to his handler (who is standing by the open door of the A/C) tail wagging all happy like. The handler hooks the dog up to the static line as the dog keeps wagging his tail in interest to what his handler is doing, still happy as ...

Believe me I'm all about progress, I remember the 1st RBA was poo-poo'ed by everyone until TFR then no one complained. I'm glad we went from spears to the M4. The problem's are it wont be developed completely before deployment, the design team will not listen to the test teams, and some grubby polit...

We will be made to use it, it will fail 75% of the time, commanders will load it to max capacity and then load more on the troops backs. Some jackass will try to make it airdropable (which breaks scout bikes on a regular basis and they are made for severe impacts). It will be like the fucking MOLLE ...

I wish the Army would make up it's fucking mind regarding LRS. They want it, they don't. It needs to be at Corps, it needs to be at Division, it needs to be at both. I'd be surprised if they even have a decent METL that supports (if anyone actually knows) what they do or is expected of them. It's g...

I think you need to go from day one OSUT to refresher to RIP like any one else. As much as the O's think that ROTC and IOBC is equivalent to BCT it isn't.

Did you drill or were you Mobilized during your career?
