Re: Introduction
Quick SITREP Rangers, I got back from MEPS this past weekend and passed all of my tests/physicals. I have my shipdate set for 20100727 with an 11X Opt. 40 contract. I tried to get it set later so that I will have more time to train and get ready. Ranger Bill said that he is currently working on gett...

Re: Media Ignores Navy SEALS for Tiger Woods
I have a question about the trial of Ahmed Hashim Abed. Is it true that he might be tried in a Federal Court? If so, why is he not being tried in a Military Court, and what would be the ramifications if he was to be tried in a Federal Court?

Re: Introduction
This is pretty annoying. See, unlike you the day I turned 17 I went to my recruiter and was flat out with my desire. You on the other hand wanted to go play around in college then when your good and ready you want to go in and hell you couldn't even do that. The best part is that you just walk in a...

Re: Military Books
Rangers I purchased 3 of the books you all suggested off Amazon yesterday; Of Their Own Accord, We Were Soldiers Once...and Young, and Military Fitness: A Manual Of Special Physical Training. I cannot wait to read them all, especially Of Their Own Accord, knowing that a Ranger on this site wrote it.

Re: Introduction
Dafid Ranger, right after my psych class I went home to have dinner with my parents and talk to them about my decisions. I have always talked about joining and they were both shocked that I am actually doing it, and not going back to college after this year. They said I have to do what I have to do,...

I will read and head Ranger JLTW!!!. I know it takes much more than just being physically fit to become a Ranger. Even if you don't believe me, I know that I have the mental toughness and disciple to accomplish my goal.

Re: Introduction
Rangers Bill, ZoneIV, and Kilted Heathen I greatly appreciate your responses. Ranger ZoneIV - Your post was incredibly thorough and it has made me take another look at all of the things I have posted here. I do not want you to think that "he is not worth my time." I am trying to take every...

Re: Introduction
Ranger Kilted Heathen, I can assure you that my commitment is not in question. I was always questionable about college and now that I am finally here, I now know that at this time it is not for me. I have never wanted anything more than becoming an Army Ranger and will do whatever it takes to become...

Re: Introduction
Ranger ZoneIV, I have been looking on these boards for good PT workouts. I do not have a specific workout yet and was hoping that I could get that help from here. I have looked at Military Athlete but other than that I have just been running and lifting.

Re: Introduction
Rangers, I just got back from the recruiter's office and we are on the move. I started filling out the basic paperwork and he told me that the 11X Opt. 40 should not be a problem because I came to him so early. He also told me that I will go to MEPS in about 3 weeks to get all of my other paperwork/...
