Re: Preparing to Sign My Option 40

Good news! Decided to see an ear specialist outside the military on my own. Had a big build-up of wax against my eardrum. Removed that, but the wax caused my eardrum to become enflamed, so just need eardrops for 2 weeks and I'll be fine! No nerve damage, so I should have perfect hearing! Going to my...

Re: Preparing to Sign My Option 40

Rangers, I have gotten a call from my recruiter, and it appears my waiver was denied. He is shocked(raising all kinds of hell) and I can't believe it. I am going to an ear specialist to get an evaluation and his opinion outside of MEPS. I've also written my congressman to see if anything can be done...

Re: Preparing to Sign My Option 40

Well, got back from MEPS today. Seems I have a partial hearing loss in my left ear, and so I scored a Damn 3 in hearing. Waiver is inbound, but I'm not sure if they'll let me get my hearing rating lowered to 1 in order to keep my 13F job. Sucks ass, but I guess I'll just have to go infantry if I end...

Re: Preparing to Sign My Option 40

SFC Hit_It, the truckdriver option was not an option 40 contract. It had no airborne attached to it, just ranger school. My fault for the confusion. Ranger Baseplate, I could have waited, however, I wanted to make a commitment now, and jump in the DEP program so I can gain rank before I ship out. Al...

Re: Preparing to Sign My Option 40

Yeah. I looked on the computer myself, and they had the ROC(Recruiter Operations Command maybe?) on speaker phone requesting for slots. Only spots they had with ranger option on the contract was for a truckdriver MOS, and that had no airborne on the contract. The system is live so I mean, there coul...

Re: Preparing to Sign My Option 40

My recruiter is a pretty straightforward guy, and a Major in the Army Now I know where I got my post in the other thread from. I must have seriously been out of it. SFC Hit_It, My particular recruiter is not a Major. He is a Sergeant First Class. However, a family friend is in fact a Major, and his...

Re: Preparing to Sign My Option 40

Evening Rangers, Talked to my recruiter's boss today and started signing papers and getting my application going. I have to go in on Wednesday to lock in and finish my application. I told him 13F Option 40. He checked the computer and said that wasn't availible and he would have to make a special ca...

Re: Introduction

Hah, trust me Ranger Rangerjuena, I've been doing everything I can think of, short of creatine, to gain some mass. I eat 6-7 meals a day, on top of doing muscle building workouts right now and keeping my cardio away from weight-burning extremes. Doing 3 protein shakes a day. I pretty much have 0 fat...

Re: Preparing to Sign My Option 40

Thor, you take what you want to take...nothing more, nothing less. If 13F OPT40 is what turns you on, don't sign for anything less....no matter how "busy" your recruiter seems. Sure, he's busy. He's got a lunch date with that 19 year old blonde that he's signing up, then he needs to be ba...
