Re: Introduction
SITREP Rangers, I am still lurking in the shadows learning all I can. Working out hard and waiting for the day I get to sign my papers. Only 2 more years to go until I finish college. I am no longer with ROTC, I was just taking part in the program for the PT and the education. If ROTC could get me t...

Re: Remingtom Model 700 SPS Tactical .308
I have one and have put about 100 rounds through it. So far shoots like a dream. My personal opinion though when you put a scope I would check out High rings instead of medium. I have medium on there right now, its fine for bench or prone shooting but while standing and shooting reloading isn't hard...

Re: Got a new toy on Black Friday.
I just bought a Remington 700 SPS tactical in .308. It's got the same bolt and barrel that the police issue Model 700 has but it has a different stock on it. Supposedly a sub .5 MOA out of box. But I am not a sub .5 MOA shooter. These 700's are sexy rifles.

Re: Introduction
Ranger Cardiackid,
plus that book was published in 1995. I graduated elementary school in 1999. So that means I read the book in 95-97 ish. The books wasn't in that great of condition (it is a library though) so it was an older publication date.

Ranger Everett Ruess,
That was a typo on my part, 11x Option 40. Must have been a little slip up on my second post.

Ranger Bill,
I found it this morning. U.S. Army Rangers and LRRP Units, 1942-87 by Gordon L. Rottman. Our library had a few other books from that series. Alot of fun for a starry eyed boy to read.

Before any one destroys you it's on here. Trust me. You think you're the first person to ask that? That is a pretty common question. Now finding it is another story. You have to want to sift through all these posts.....or learn how to use that crafty little search button, or google. Either way I dou...

Re: Introduction
Ranger 42L5V,
Apparently Mizzou's ROTC program received the MacArthur Award for Number 1 Army ROTC program in the Western Region. Time will tell though. Its unfortunate that I can only participate in two years of the program before I have to drop out.
PM inbound.

Re: Introduction
SITREP Rangers, The elementary school no longer had the book so I am trying to find it by other means. Just got all set up for my ROTC class. Hopefully it will give me needed skills and discipline for when I sign that 18x Option 40. Also, it will get me in better shape. As always any advice is welco...

You know the economy is bad when:
I know we are in an economic crisis but this really drove it home to me. This is an e-mail sent out from my college (which is the largest public college in the state, and has great academic programs, one of the programs is top 3 in the nation). Some one needs to take that "soldiers make better lovers" t-shirt away from her/it. It invoked the gag reflex.

Re: Introduction
I have been trying to find it myself. It was some little hard back book probably no more than 50 pages. They also had two other books one on the green berets and another on the navy seals. I am trying to find it because I would like to have it for my personal library. Something to draw inspiration f...
