Yes, I asked him if regular army would take 11B's from the guard, for OPT40 contracts. And he still told me, that im an engineer and that will most likely ruin my chances for an OPT40 contract.

I spoke to my commander today about my intentions after deployment. And he thought a little while, and called me into his office.

He told me that as an engineer he can see me succeeding further. Than if I went into a combat MOS especially the Ranger Regt. And he said that ...

I went and seen an active duty recruiter today. He pretty much told me. " Your an engineer the Regiment doesnt want you. "

But i will fight this battle, and speak to a recruiter that seems like he actually has time for soldiers ...
