Re: Fraternity of Men

Welcome to the site Specialist. I would love to call a TIB check, but it pales in comparison to a T@& Check, so I will just say welcome. Thanks for finally coming aboard. Make sure to fill out the packet once sent to you. There are plenty of good dudes on this site. Men that we went to war with....

Re: Blackwater guards will 'face charges'

My thought is that a day in court would benefit everyone involved I guess I just hate that it has to come down to this. I mean "over there" you can question every single shot that goes down range. This is a case of politics plane and simple. Personally, I question the ability to receive a...

Re: Blackwater guards will 'face charges'

This is truly sad. The same country that these brave young men swore to protect, now wants to persecute (not prosecute) them for doing their job. The worse part of the charges is the "machine gun" charge. If that is the case, then they can charge every single civilian contractor with the s...

F#ck yeah, I'd do it all again! The only thing that I would change is staying to go to school. I never had the chance when I "thought" I was ready, so I left Batt of my own accord. However, not earning the black and gold has left me with a hole on my left shoulder, right above where my scr...

This is probably something better answered in a different environment, maybe even PM, but I wonder if the Afghan Army fought as hard as the US guys. Seems to me that luck alone could not have explained the inordinate ratio of dead and wounded US to ANA guys. Maybe I am just being pessimistic .... N...

GSG5 Plinker???

Has anyone seen (or shot) this little .22lr? Just put 200 rounds through it at the local range and am thinking about getting one. Any thoughts or comments?

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Just got my new rifle today. Only had time for a quick zero before they kicked me off the range. But it was still fun. Thanks to everyone for all of the advice. If I don't go broke on buying ammo, I may get into building AR's in the future. For now though, I just want t...

I think it's a testament to the AK that in spite of its extra weight, at least one man on about half of L Company's teams carried one. It's got 1:7 twist, and the barrel is 16" long. So, I am guessing that means that I can shoot anything 5.56(or .223) by 45? With grain ranging from 55 to 77?

I didn't realize how spoined we were in Batt!

Thanks,

What does the standard Colt (6920) take? (I used to just shoot what was in the ammo crate, and never had to buy ammo, so am not sure what is what?)

Thanks,

A great big thanks (again) for all of the advice. Especially to RangerX for (not only his cool avatar) reminding me about AR15.com. I started browsing there for sale forum and found a dealer in Texas that had the Colt LE6920 in stock. I know that it is a bit overpriced, but I plan on keeping it unti...

.....Not that I am a retard, but I don't know enough about rifles to be 100% sure on a DIY..... "just in case". Roger that, thanks for the extra info. That will definitely be on my DIY rifle down the road . . . By the way, reading is for doctors and lawyers, I was a stron...

Thanks again for all of the support. DIY does look a lot easier than I first thought. However, for my first AR, DIY is probably not the best option for me. It's a long story, but I am living out of a suitcase for the next four months (for work), and the only tools that I have . . . the trusty old le...
