Re: Concerns over Chinese acquisition of Smithfield Farms

Reality check... the government does not do safety inspections of food... well, not enough to really matter. Whenever you hear some politician ass clown say that we need to have the FDA because without it our food would not be inspected... he is full of shit. He knows it, but he is gambling that you...

Re: North Colorado, 51st State ?

Unless they amend the Constitution, they cannot do this. They could try, but remember my area of the country tried to secede one time and it led to a bit of a disagreement (over half a million deaths to be exact). Article IV section 3 of the US Constitution: New States may be admitted by the Congres...

Re: Al Qaeda leader Zawahri urges Syrians to unite against A

Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood are the Crips and Bloods of the Mideast. They do not like each other, but each one wants to run their area.

Our President has decided to back the Muslim Brotherhood.

There probably won't be any ramifications due to that in the future.

History Channel yesterday had nothing devoted to the Normandy invasion. Some shows about UFOs, Pawn Stars and the like. No D-Day.

Re: Supreme Court votes in favor of DNA Database

What could you do with thier DNA?" Identify them. That's it nothing more. Don't look at this case with 2013 eyeballs. Right now all they can do is identify, but what about five years from now. Not 100, but just five. Technology is doubling in speed. Since I was born the world has advanced incr...

Re: After 100 Years, Are The Boy Scouts Still Relevant?

The Scouts have now become a political tool. Doesn't matter if you were one or not, their brand is now tarnished.

Re: Supreme Court votes in favor of DNA Database

So? DNA evidence, unlike fingerprints, can tell everything about you. Your genetic makeup. Your chance of getting a certain disease or physical disability. Who your parents were. I could go on, but it tells all. What this decision allows is for law enforcement to gather DNA evidence without a convi...

Re: One of our brothers killed in UK.

We should pay heed to this as many of our own Democrats in this country would love to model their "new progressive movement " on the UK, if they aren't already! The British version of the Progressives are the Fabians. They started about the same time as the Progressive movement in the US ...

Re: Fat/Muscle boy to Army

Run. Run fast.

Less calories.

Run some more.

Doing nine minute miles is not that good.

It sounds flippant, but that is pretty much it. Other than that, look on various other pages of this site.

This commentary wsa written in 2002, the first Memorial Day after September 11th. Tonight I sat with my buddy, Bert, and we talked of many things. Point of Fork, Afghanist...
