We have a 37-year old SPC in RIP Pending with me. He's a stud. We have some 18 yo's breaking down just as much as the old guys. Your age shouldn't mean anything, just give it 110%. I was 220lbs at one point in my life and now I'm just over 150. You can do anything you set your mind to. Driving On, -...

RIP Packing List
Here's another freebie for the DEPs or anyone heading to RIP. I received a bunch of PMs regarding the packing list for RIP and also had sent a few to Rangers before I shipped out regarding the issue. So, here it is: Medical records with current Army physical (DD Form 2808) 4 sets of ACU's (Top's and...

In RIP Pending
Rangers, We ran over to RIP today. I'm in RIP Pending until 27 Oct. We've been released until Monday at 2045. PT Test Tuesday morning, and then onward to usual details. I'm extremely excited and anxious to be in RIP. When we ran past the sign for RSTB, I had the biggest grin on my face. I'm here and...

Rangers, Made my first jump today. For all the DEPs who are afraid of heights, don't sweat it. The rush from exiting the bird overwhelms any fear you might have. And before you know it, you're on the ground packing your chute into the Aviator's Kit Bag and double-timing to the bus. The Black Hat I r...

Airborne SITREP
Rangers, Today went by pretty easy. It was my last day of training on the Swing Landing Trainer. I spent the better part of today busting the fuck out of my 4th point of contact. Tomorrow is the 250-foot tower. Thursday and Friday are nothing but mass exit training from the 34-foot towers with full ...

Good deal - glad it worked out. Sorry I missed your phone call this weekend - I'm working for the next 8 days straight, and can't answer the phone when training. Text always works. Be smart with your down time in the evenings. Great advice! Congrats on your accomplishment to this point, stay focus ...

Graduated OSUT, now in BAT
Rangers,
I Turned Blue Thursday, graduated this morning. I'm currently at A 1/507. I went straight from graduation to Airborne, no hold time. I start Ground Week of BAT Monday. I'm going to the gym tomorrow to keep in shape for the course.
Driving on, Rangers.

He's spot-on about being offered RIP. Congratulations, tomasriot. About 10 in our company were offered RIP, a lot of them turned it down. There are only two RIP contracts in my platoon, myself and a fat guy. PM inbound regarding contact info. We need to PT together during Airborne hold. Driving on, ...

OSUT Sitrep
Rangers, I Turn Blue in 4 days. I lost out on Soldier of the Cycle by 3 points in the 1SG Board. However, I'm my platoon's Honor Grad. I'm getting ready to report to Airborne Hold next week...getting physicals done, cleaning up my TA-50, the usual Recovery period stuff. I'm very excited to continue ...

Rangers, I've said it once before, but I'll say it again: I'm having a fucking BLAST at OSUT! This week was the shit. We had a Bivouac Tuesday and Wednesday night. I'm no longer an RTO...I'm AR of my FT. (I like the SAW. Puts a lot of lead downrange) So, no more rucksack flop...damn. On Monday we ha...
