I completed the SOCM course a few months ago. There is little to no information regarding the course that i was ever able to find on the internet other than just general common sense info. I will say that all Ranger medics complete both the regular 68w medic course and SOCM and there is really no co...

I realized quick I have a TON to learn but have LOVED every second and cannot wait to see what the future will hold! Finally making it to Batt so far has been ev...

Been a while again but still hanging in there!
Been a while since I posted, I am yet verified but I am sure that will come quickly now. I just graduated SOCM today and am on my way to 2nd Batt. Should be there sometime in May. For any aspiring medics considering the 75th as a potential home the training you will receive at JSOMTC is LEAPS and BO...

Graduation!
Well, today was the day. Graduated from RIP and was privileged enough to have been selected to receive the leadership award, which was a great honor. Graduation was really done well and the guest speaker was phenomenal. Being an old timer myself, I thought I would throw some of the old timers here a...

Week 3 is down. This week has been a lot slower than the other two. All physical standard tests are over so it is on to the academics. Day 1 - This PT session was kick ass! 35 lb ruck march / run on streets and trails. Cadre did a great job mixing up the marching and running on this day. Also, we di...

It has been a very long time since I posted anything here, but due to the fact that WAY back the info here greatly helped me, which was much appreciated, I found it appropriate to post a letter from school. Here is a link to my intro post due to the length of time since I posted it and the emphasis ...

Well, I received a MEPS date of Jan 7, 2005. If all goes well and I pass with all 1's my recruiter says that it will take app. 48 hours for my waiver to go through. Somehow I don't believe that, but we will see. After the waiver, i re-take the ASVAB and go from there. I have decided on the 13F MOS, ...

Question about the APFT?
Looking at the APFT, i was wondering, are the situps and pushups timed events like the run or just max the individual can do?
