Re: Sitrep - Peterk
Ranger Centermass, I currently do not have any plans. Well I have some thoughts to what I may want to do. As of right now, its to fully recover and get back to physical health I was at prior to the injury. I have been giving a lot of thought to what I would like after the army which is coming up fas...

Re: Sitrep - Peterk
It's been awhile and a lot has happened but here is a quick sitrep because I felt I owed it to the Rangers on this board and those who can learn in the future. I completed the trauma block but was dropped along with 20 other students because of an "ACLS scandal" at the school house. Studen...

Re: Sitrep - Peterk
Quick sitrep: Successfully completed Clin Med and now 3 weeks into Trauma 1. It's a great and very appreciated change of pace considering the amount of studying done so far and I can't complain about all the hands on time we get. Time flies in Trauma 1 and things get moving quickly. We just got our ...

Re: Intro: Eric
It may be different now but when I was at airborne last june, the Ranger liaison stopped offering RASP slots to all 11B because there were just too many of them. Its now a year later and last I heard, they aren't hurting in recruitment so not sure if they are still selective in who they ask for a RA...

Re: Sitrep - Peterk
Quick sitrep: finished with the second block and moving on into Clin Meds. A&P was not that difficult but it can easily get the better of you if not prepared. I hear the same goes for this upcoming block but am confident that it will be done with in the next 6 weeks and hopefully get to move int...

Sitrep - Peterk
I have been asked by Ranger Jim to post a sitrep so here it goes. Made it through PSOCM and now into my first week of SOCM. It's definitely a different atmosphere here at Bragg. There are def some good and some bad but more positives than negatives. Better living situations and a more relaxed atmosp...

I had the pleasure of meeting SFC Kap while in Pre-RASP and he is doing well with keeping it hell for people over there.

Re: Introduction-My name is Andrew S.
FarBeyondDriven, Hopefully you've read and re-read the posts on this forum because if you had, you would realize you are safe to enlist as a 68W opt 4. Although there are 68W option 40 contracts out there I believe there are only 10 a year. You would be safe to enlist with an option 4 and then fill ...

Re: Introduction-Ryan
Ryan555, 2 mile tempo runs do nothing for helping you improve your run times. In terms of cardio endurance you need to run 5 miles or more. Interval runs help with muscle strengthening and endurance. Alternating from 2 mile runs and 4 mile runs, unless they are interval runs will not help you improv...

Re: Andrew's Introduction
LankyA, I would suggest you head the words and accept nothing but an option 40 and if not an option 4 at the least. Unless you are ordered to come to Benning, I wouldn't put my money on it happening by chance. If being a Ranger is what you want, accept nothing less. What Ranger Steadfast has told yo...

Re: Graduated 09-12
Thank you Ranger Steadfast. I am not sure who Grim666 is or StandSure but if I were given their last names I'm sure I know them seeing how theres only twenty of us in PSOCM right now. I know Grim666 was in my class so I am actually curious as to who it is.

Graduated 09-12
Hello fellow Rangers and others on the forum. It's been a while since my last post but I'd like to say that I have completed part of my task and graduated RASP Class 09-12. It's been a long road and I still have PSOCM and SOCM to complete but today was a great victory. There was no feeling like gett...

Re: Shipping Out
Hello board members, strangers, and Rangers. I am glad to report that I am officially a 5 jump chump and will be graduating tomorrow. Need to get through out processing today staying out of trouble and I earn my wings. Airborne was easy enough, for those who are looking to go just always remember to...

Re: Shipping Out
I graduate the 68W program this friday which I am extremely excited for. There have been some disappointing moments such as not getting my 300 on the PT test like I wanted but nevertheless I press on. I was fortunate enough to have a switch in command during the mid point of my training who was prev...
