Done! Here's the scoop on my ordeal. Cleared the Hep A issue and went to MEPS to have inspect by med staff and choose job. I was told I DNQ for any infantry MOS because eyesight not correctable to 20/20 in at least one eye...No 11X, no OPT 40. The counselor and recruiter try to get me to join anyway and ask for ABN and RIP at later date. Long story short - got outside medical opinion on eyes and got eye score changed from 2 to 1. 11X, ABN, OPt 40, OPT 70 and 20,000 dollar bonus. Ship date 03/24/2005. Wish this old guy luck.
