Interesting. Here's a question: how come some people have to fight tooth-and-nail for an Option 40 (assuming they're qualified), while at the same time I also hear plenty about recruiters tossing out Option 40's like candy?
Is the demand literally changing daily? Do some recruiters just play hardball?
Option 40's and 18X's are a sexy recruiting tool, to say the least... and I am surprised that people who qualify would be denied.

I wish I knew the answer, I spent at least 4 hours waiting for an opt 40 and ended up not getting it yesterday

Skater.
You have no real ambition to be a Ranger, you know this.
There's just no reason for you to waste our time.
You have a smart mouth and you put forth no effort whatsoever.
Every once in a while you skip your gay little ass in here and expect immediate satisfaction to your redundant enquiries.
Skip your happy ass back down the yellow-brick road.
I wish you the best of luck in munchkin asess and selection as I'm certain you have much to offer Dorothys' elite body-guard corps where
you will be a welcome addition to such stalwart warriors as the Tin man and the Scarecrow.
The only thing that your recruiter was correct about was the peer reports.
They were designed specifically with assholes like you in mind.

Well funny enough when you spend more than a couple of years in the Army it's bound to happen. Life is different for guys that quit after a couple of years, it's easier for the short timers to reflect fondly on the 1 unit they served in.

Still has nothing to do with you being a Tab Defender!
