Honorable Discharge

Post by proud dad »

I want to let everyone know that my Son has recieved his Honorable Discharge from the US Army a short time ago and is now at home. I found and became a member of this site in AUG. 2003 soon after his first deployment. As I visited this site everyday I have watched as he was deployed and I want to let everyone know how much this site has meant to me as a place to be among people who understood without saying what my son was doing. It has been a great comfort to me to be a member here and I want to thank everyone for making me feel welcome and treating me with respect and kindness. I will continue to visit and enjoy this site but will slow down on all this posting I have done in the past. :)

My Son will be introducing himself shortly on the site and I will let him have his stories to tell but I do want to say as a proud dad, I have seen Generals on TV with less awards and medals on his chest than on my sons class A's.

That boy became a man...and then a warrior. We're proud of him too.

Get that Ranger in here. I'm curious about his plans. I'm wondering if he misses it already. He will.

Your Ranger is going to be different from the boy you knew, even from when you saw him on leave before.
He's going to have transition issues, make sure he signs in here soon - everything he will be feeling & experiencing has been felt & done by some Ranger registered herein. We mostly all have phone numbers since typing ain't always gonna do it.
Thank you both & God bless.
