Well this is probably not the place to ask that we are pretty one sided when it comes to a subject like that. I would say OF COURSE. But then again you could pursue a SOF career in the AF as well. TACP, PJ.

Well, where do I begin. First, welcome. Good intro. That's the good news.
As for becoming a Ranger, I would place your odds at somewhere between 0-5%. (Im being generous) If you look and ask, you will see that your "dream" doesnt match reality. Read the FAQ's, do your research and draw your conclusions. Im not stepping on your dreams, young man...just pointing to some obvious issues. The Guard, the MOS,...you tell me after you do the leg work.

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.

I've never heard of it as 'transitioning into' - it sounds like putting on your slippers when you wake up in the morning. Its more like a jolt into a new way of thinking. Most can't handle the sudden change and fall by the wayside.

Good luck.

What are your expectations when it comes to an Airborne Ranger officer?

Primus inter parus.
In other words, too cruely, relentless, and mercilessly high for most men.
This might an interesting topic for the Mojo.
