Review: German Military Gortex Surplus

Post by Flesh Thorn »

I had been looking for some affordable Gortex for a while and found this at Sportsman Guide.http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=59197 I bought it and I have been happy so far. I had to look hard to find any signs of wear. Why does everything German military have those German flags sewn on ? Anyways, a couple of seconds with a pocket knife "sterlized' the parka. This gear isn't as nice as the U.S. Gortex, but for the price it is good shit. The flectar camo pattern takes a little getting use to , but it works. The sizes run on the small side. I am about 6'1'' and 215 lbs and the XL barely leaves enough room to wear some layers. This Gortex is uninsulated and is more like our Gortex rain gear. The bottom line is it is very affordable Gortex gear if you don't mind the flectar camo pattern.
