Intro/ soon to be Army wife

Post by Sunshine »

My name is Dawn. I'm 23 and married to a man with a very strong desire to become a Ranger. He will be starting basic training sometime in January and plans to get all the special training that he possibly can, with hopes of becoming an Army Ranger. I would like to get some input from those of you who have been through all this as to what kind of things helped you stay motivated and the support from home that helped get you through the tough times. I'm confident that he will do fine and won't need much motivation from me, but I want to be prepared. Also, if you have any words of advice for me at home, it wouldn't hurt. I want to make this time separated from each other as easy as possible for both of us. Thanks for any help you might have.

Thanks for all that replied with open arms of exceptance. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one in my position. I only hope that I can be as much of a support for my husband through all of this as I'm sure all of you will be for me. I didn't really come from a military family so ALL of this is very new territory for me.
