25B airborne ranger: question?
Hello guys, sorry im new to this website so i hope im writing in the right area and so forth. I have a question and was wondering if anyone may know the asnwer. Recently i enlisted in the US ARMY and my mos was 25B, information technology specialist. I had also had airborne and Ranger in my contract as well. I have researched a lot about 25B and ranger, as well as some on airborne but thats pretty straight forward but my question is, what does a 25B do as a ranger, is it different from other jobs that 25B do? ive been told i may go as infantry even though my mos was 25B which i dont really mind too much, but yeah, 25B as a Airborne Ranger...?

Re: 25B airborne ranger: question?
Sorry Jim, I had just gotten down from the slopes snowboarding and did not see any of emails sent to me as there was no connection. I went ahead and took did a PT assessment: 67 push ups in a minute, 71 sit ups in a minute, and 6:32 mile.Jim wrote:Kimcheeze, Your 72 hours has come and gone. As for the previous post:
Hello Rangers,
I am Nicholas Deleted by (Admin, Steadfast), currently a senior in Highschool living in Virginia. I am a outdoor kind of person, doing many activities both with people and alone. I am very respectful and love having conversations about anything! I am also in Airforce JROTC as of right now, sadly there was no ARMY JROTC, but this still gave me the benefits of starting off as a E-2 and is a great leadership course. I am set to ship off to BCT in July 28, so I got quite the time to prepare! I also have option 40 on my enlistment contract which is one of the reasons I came here. I never really though of Rangers before, but as I got my contract and with the many people I've talked to and met, I agree that Rangers is something I would be honored in getting into and becoming. I feel I have a duty to serve this country and serve the people around me. I believe I need discipline to tone my person and help me become a better person in the future. I have also always wanted to join the military since I was young and time has come by so fast but here I am! The military also provides me training and gives me an idea for my future career rather than going to college blinded, not truely knowing where to go.
-Nicholas (Name deleted by Admin, Steadfast).
P.s.
Sorry for the late response and I am sorry about my grammer, I did not intend to see many replies, but I am very greatful with the amount of people that did respond. Thank You

Re: 25B airborne ranger: question?
1 Roger Ranger Jim would be the correct response and then added your APFT scores.
You have not heeded the advice of Ranger rangerjd.
This tells me you did not read the FAQ's for Army Ranger . com.
2 Research what a proper APFT is and add pull ups to it.
A lack of research on your part shows your inattention to detail.
This tells me you did not read the FAQ's for Army Ranger . com.
3 You used what appears to be your full name which is a PERSEC violation.
This tells me you did not read the FAQ's for Army Ranger . com.
4 If you have signed a contract you need to fix your signature line in accordance with the DEP norm.

Do not reply to me. Fix yourself.

Re: 25B airborne ranger: question?
You are starting to sound like a soup sandwich, you had best unscrew your head and screw it back on right. Lack of attention to detail will get you dropped real quick in RASP. Remember, in everything you do, do your best. If you want to be a Ranger, there is no other way. RLTW

Re: 25B airborne ranger: question?
Thank You Ranger Tater Nuts!
Happy Monday Rangers,
Just finished doing all my mid-term test and keeping my grades as high as possible. I recently learnt the Army creed(future soldier program) and will start practicing the Ranger's as well! Got a long time till I ship off but I'm excited to start my military career. Been awhile since I hit the gym (last being like 2 weeks ago) so my APFT scores went as good as before sadly, but I should be able to gain it back soon! But yeah, pretty much sums up my past since I last posted!
Sorry for the late feedback, decided to stay away from technology, while I study for mid-terms.
I will post bi-weekly APFT scores to show my status as well as inform anything new if anything comes up!
