Pennsylvania man sentenced for beating wife with wooden padd

LANCASTER, PA. – A central Pennsylvania man has been convicted for beating his wife when she didn't address him as "sir" in front of their kids.

Lancaster County prosecutors say 49-year-old Dan Kirby Kopp of Ephrata routinely beat his wife with a wooden paddle or his hand when he believed she was disrespectful.

The Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era reports (http://bit.ly/15o3Fex ) that Kopp's wife used an iPhone to videotape a September 2012 beating that was shown to jurors. The video shows the 6-foot-5, 230-pound Kopp beating her with a paddle for not addressing him with "yes, sir."

It shows a woman with an iPhone to be a dangerous adversary with today's courts.
