Well, OSUT is complete and I am now on a 4 day pass because of Airborne holdover. I feel great to be done with OSUT and moving on to my next step. Overall it was a fairly easy 14 weeks, It actually flew by very quickly. Throughout the whole experience I would say the hardest part had to be the 10 days at 30th AG.

Now I will be kicking it into high gear again working out and running every chance I get in Airborne school.

Rangers, I completed Airborne School and am now being placed in Pre Rasp. We don't know the start date of our class yet, but I am excited to be here. Jump week was alot of fun, it's quite the rush. My wife is in town this weekend and I am enjoying some time with her. I am with a good group of guys and am very excited to start this part of my training.

Congratulations on completing OSUT and Airborne. My son graduates from OSUT on 10/4. We had bought him a ticket to come home on that Saturday assuming he would have some leave, but when he got the RASP contract, I got the impression that he would not get any leave. I have not canceled his ticket though. Do you think, based on your experience and that of the people you've met, we should just keep his ticket and wait until closer to see if perhaps he would have a day or two to come home? Thank you and good luck with RASP.

Ma'am (6xBlessed), please do not ask students whether you should keep a ticket or not - We DO want our young men to stay focused on their immediate 25m target - getting to be a Ranger. Go to the Mosh Pit and ask your question.

Rangers, just another quick update. We finished week 5 and the 12 mile is complete. Still driving on, overall everything is going good and I am not having any troubles.
