We should pay heed to this as many of our own Democrats in this country would love to model their "new progressive movement " on the UK, if they aren't already!

The British version of the Progressives are the Fabians. They started about the same time as the Progressive movement in the US (Woodrow Wilson), but they were extremely succesful in changing their country into the liberal pit it is today:
