Just got back on thursday. Never felt that grateful to be that miserable. Then I just felt miserable. we're down to 82/144
The cool thing is comparing and contrasting final ruck march hallucinations after the fact.
However many socks you plan on you bringing, you wont have enough. If you do have enough, you wont have enough time to change them.
You're to busy to notice you're tired until you're knee's buckle and this make's you realize you where falling asleep standing up. This will continue to happen about every 30 seconds you're not moving around until its over.
If it can chafe, it will.
Two of the six logs are the homes of a fire ant colony. Choose very carefully.
They don't want robots. You are allowed to think. Just be ready to defend every decision you make.
The smallest mistake and you'll be made to look like the biggest fucking retard on the planet in front of your peers. If this happens just accept it and move on. It's nothing to quit over, everybody takes their turn at it.
Waterproof boots do a much better job of keeping water IN, then they do of keeping water OUT.
When all the dirt trails wash out into paths of ankle deep mud that suck at your boots on every step, try walking just inside the woodline. its infinitely faster and easier.
Dont be one of those assholes that hide inside the portajohn when the cold winds start blowing.
You can smell the quit on most of the guys right before they V-dub. Only one or two will surprise you.
Never tell yourself its almost over. Theres always one more event.

Great post bud. Couple'a few more weeks and you're done, at least there. Then it gets harder in Batt, but better as well, if that makes any sense. Never quit bubba. You're doing great.

Awesome tips!

It isn't over until it's over! Don't worry about when that is, they'll let you know. Just keep I mind that if only two men are left standing, you are going to be one of them. No matter what they do to you, if someone else can take it then so can you!
