Well, I guess I know about as much as anyone about being a mustang. I enlisted in 1965, was promoted to Staff Sergeant in 1968, and was commissioned in 1971. Commanded a battalion, graduated from the Army War College and retired as an LTC in my 30th year of service. It can be done.

Having said all that, you need to be aware that most of the questions you may have, are answered before. The search feature, located on the top right side of this page is your friend. You might be amazed at the number of college graduates that are found in a Ranger Battalion. Now tell us where you went to school and why you want to be a Ranger. What you have stated that since you can't become a SEAL, you will settle for something less. Having served with SEALS in the past, I prefer being a Ranger.

So what you are saying is, now you want to go to OCS? Not enlist for the Ranger Regiment.
