As of tommorow morning, I will be Airborne qualified. Airborne School was an interesting experience to say the least. I am addicted to jumping! It was an absolutely awesome experience for me and I found myself wanting to go again and again. The Black Hats' silly antics definitely kept things interesting.

One thing I definitely noted here was the reaction many of my peers displayed to the freedom you get here. Some fellow RASP headed soldiers showed motivation akin to my own, yet many more decided all they wanted to do was party/drink or skulk around Game Link all day after being released. They showed signs of "quitteritis", complaining about how RASP will strip them of their freedom again and talking about dropping their contracts. I hope that they do. I do not want to rely on people like that in combat. It was cool meeting the more motivated individuals who I will be glad to go to RASP with. I will be moved over to Pre RASP tomorrow and I hear the PT we receive is pretty good. I eagerly look forward to it and RASP; completing the final objective to my Ranger Goal.

Future Soldiers, heed this well: Do not lose focus, ever. The challenge is maintaining the focus and motivation you have now. Do not forget why you are here, when you get here.
You have come a long way in only eight months. Never, never quit!
