Anti-American Protest Continue in Afghanistan

Post by Flesh Thorn »

KABUL – The American embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan is on lockdown as protests rage in multiple Afghan cities over an incident the U.S. says was inadvertent burning of Muslim holy books at a military base.
"The Embassy is on lockdown; all travel suspended," the embassy announced on its Twitter page Wednesday. "Please, everyone, be safe out there."

Don't they usually save this stuff for fairer weather? It must be a mild winter.

At the end of the day...WHO GIVES A FUCK? That place is a shit hole that we will be leaving shortly. IMHO they should be glad we haven't decided to burn the mosques and the "Slaves to Allah" inside.

Well apparently 2 troops paid for it with their lives as a result of this.

Tough, I disagree. The liars in charge will pull the same crap in Trashcanistan as they did in Iraq, save face by pulling out troops, then hiring the RIF'd troops as contractors and sending them back over with even less support than they get now.

Time to dust off the B-52s and napalm......

Well the backlash from our "partners" continues at great cost to our Troops.
If our mission now is to train the Afghan Army and serve along side them, how is this going to work?
If the Handling of the Koran is so sensitive, why do we provide them at all?
I have a son there, this" win hearts and mind thing" sounds like an old song.
In my opinion ,we should use our military for fighting our countrys enemies and we should be so fierce that people run at the sight of us.
Let the afghans train themselves,If the taliban returns and harbors a group that threatens US interests,go in and take them out.
