Hello rangers, My name is Drew, and am currently a senior in high school enlisted in the us army with a 11x opt40 contract with a ship date of 20120724, my life goal is to become a ranger with the 75th ranger regiment. my short term goal is to graduate high school with at least a 3.5 GPA. I would really love to have a mentor from this site and am willing to put everything into my training to give me a leg up in the selection process. My personal mentor is my grandfather who is my guardian, he is a retired army first sgt from the vietnam era. He has raised me allowing me to chose my life style and since I decided to enlist in the army he has helped me "get the right mindset" which really has helped me become even more self diciplined.

Drew, you only have one opportunity to make a favorable initial impression. Your introduction is pretty good, so I will not beat you too much for duplicate introductions. I deleted the earliest as I noted you added more information on this one. You need to read all the FAQs as well as stickies and selected threads. There is a lot of worthwhile information on the site and we take some pride in running a tight program. If you truly want to earn a place in the 75th Ranger Regiment, you came to the right site. Now read a lot and post only a little. Many (most) of the questions you will raise have been addressed several times; you are encouraged to use the search feature loccated on the top right side of the page. The search button is your friend -- I reserve judgement. Never, never quit!
