My name is Randy and I am from Texas. I sign my contract and swear in as a 92y airborne ranger on Tuesday of the following week. I will be enlisting as an e-3. I have been training for five years now to become a ranger and the best I can be. I eventually want to move over to infantry but I took the only job I could for now and I am happy with unit supply. I look forward to maybe seeing some of you in the future.

Re: Future Ranger here
A little more about me;
I want to be a ranger because I want to lead! I want to be set apart from the "big army" and be in an elite group that takes care of business. I know I won't be doing much until I am able to switch over to infantry but when I do I will be ready.
Current 2x2x2 PT scores consist of 95 pushups, 100 situps, 12 minutes 15 seconds. I ship in about five months so my scores will be increasing. I do not drink or smoke so that I can stay as healthy as I can.

Re: Future Ranger here
Are you on a 1st name basis with Ranger CharlieRanger1FFV?randys wrote:Thank you Ranger Charlie!
No, you are not but you will address all Rangers properly by using their full names as shown.
Ranger CharlieRanger1FFV means he was in Ranger Company Charlie & in 1st Field Force Vietnam - he's shortened it for all of us but prefers to remember his heritage.
Each & every Ranger on here may have numbers & letters in addition to their name just for the same reason - to remember their heritage. One day you may be lucky yourself to attach numbers & letters to your name.
We do not need nor want an aplology but it is important for you & all others to address all Rangers correctly in each & every future post.
Oh & one other item - this is a not a good one:
Subject: About RIP
Go back to that post & edit it to: Roger, Ranger cdwdirect .randys wrote:roger
Situational awareness is important if you bothered to read the title of cdwdirect you would have known how to preface your answer.

I was replying to what Ranger Nomad said.Nomad wrote:DEP's,
Do 50 pushups for Ranger cdwdirect taking his precious time to square you away!
If you are a DEP and you have read this, reply in this thread with "Roger". Not more, not less.
But if you want me to change what I said I will do that Ranger Steadfast.
Re: Future Ranger here
When Ranger Nomad said that cdwdirect had just finished RIP (now called RASP) and cdwdirect was not yet a Ranger back in 2006 - 2 months later, he was offically a Ranger on this site. By page 8 the instruction were changed by me. But you knew that already because no doubt you read each & every post to keep abreast on the ongoing situation.randys wrote:I was replying to what Ranger Nomad said.Nomad wrote:DEP's,

Now you owe me 50 pu for your 1st mistake & 50 more for failure to follow instruction.
